Separating Required Strands
Perhaps the most significant feature of the TANTO which sets it apart from other “organisers” is that it is not necessary to remove the whole skein of threads from the TANTO to obtain one strand that is needed for stitching. A single strand can be extracted as described below leaving the rest of the threads safely organised.
Separate required strand(s) from bottom of hanging threads (pic1).
Hold the threads firmly between thumb and forefinger of one hand just below the top wheel of your TANTO (pic2), and using the other hand pull out the selected strand(s).
Gently smooth down remaining threads to prevent tangles (pic 3).
